Bloomsbury Season

Bloomsbury Season at UCL is now well underway! So far we have had 3 fantastic performances of Much Ado About Nothing by the UCLU Drama Society, and coming up we have UCLU Jazz society performing 'Now you has Jazz', the RUMS MD's Comedy Revue society performing 'Back to the Suture', and finally UCLU Musical Theatre society performing 'The Producers'!

Welcome to ULCU Stage Crew! Thank you all for signing up at Fresher’s Fayre, we’re sure you had a great time and are very grateful for your interest! So let’s get straight down to business and see what is in stall for you all these coming few weeks!

Fresher's Meeting

Come join us in our Fresher’s Meeting on MONDAY 3rd OCT at 6PM at our very own Garage Theatre Workshop. You’ll get to know what we do as a society, be introduced to the committee, and socialise with your fellow mates! Don’t worry about dinner – we have FREE PIZZAS available!! And I heard over the grapevine, some of our members might be bringing brownies and stuff. So make sure you’re there!

Sound and Light Demonstrations

We constantly reiterate that experience is NOT a criterion to join the society, and we mean it! If you have absolutely no idea what a sound designer does, or the difference between a lantern and a lamp, or think AJ is some elusive expendable chap, come along to our Sound and Light Demonstrations! You’ll get to learn about how sound and lights work in a theatre, and hopefully, discover a whole new way of looking at theatrical productions. There will be two sessions available, and both will be held in the Garage Theatre Workshop:

Dear Stage Crew Members!

Welcome to a new academic year! There are many events to look forward to over this term and I hope to see you all, old or ancient, near or far, over the coming months.

Coming up this week is Freshers Fayre on Thursday and Friday. If you are up to help man our two stalls, and attract some eager freshers, feel free to email and tell us. Otherwise, it will be a huge pleasure to see you come visit, just to provide your support! If you’re particularly keen, do feel free to drop by for our Freshers’ Meeting on 3^rd October and get to know the new blood.

We also have a line up of fantastic shows for the term, both in the Garage and Bloomsbury, including Blood Brothers, Reservoir Dogs, The Producers, Much Ado About Nothing, and also the familiar ones, like Freshers Showcase and Freshers Plays! So remember to drop in our regular meetings (Monday 6pm), starting 10^th October, to keep updated and get involved!

This term, we are also organising several socials, to which you are all invited! We will be having a National Theatre backstage tour on the afteroon of 8^th October, and possibly a musical trip (rumours have it it will 39 Steps) on 15^th October.
